Works from 25 artists featured in “CLIMATE” exhibition at AU, starting Aug. 29
ASHLAND, Ohio – The opening exhibition of the 2024-25 academic year at Ashland University’s Coburn Gallery will be “CLIMATE,” a regional juried exhibition featuring 25 Ohio-based artists. There will be an opening reception on Thursday, Aug. 29, from 4:30-6:30 p.m., and then it will run through Saturday, Sept. 28. AU to host Connecting 4 Justice International Conference on Sept. 18-20

Brotherhood formed in college continues for JDM grads as camera operators covering Ohio sports
After working together as camera operators for Ashland University games and now the past several years at Ohio sporting events, Trae Coopwood, Erich Metze and Zach Portner have formed a brotherly bond. “I’m like the annoying older brother they can’t get rid of,” said a laughing Metze, who is in his 40s while Coopwood and Portner are in their 20s. Ashland Area Chorus’ 2024-25 season will start on Aug. 26
ASHLAND, Ohio – The Ashland Area Chorus, a community-based mixed choir of 40-50 singers, will begin its 2024-25 season Monday, Aug. 26. The AAC is still welcoming new members. On Wednesday (Aug. 7) in Paris, France, former Ashland University national champion Katie Moon earned a silver medal in the women's pole vault at the Games of the XXXIII Olympiad. Pair of graduates from AU’s MAHG program named History Teacher of the Year
ASHLAND, Ohio – Two state winners of The Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History’s 2024 History Teacher of the Year award—Katie Orenberg of California and Erik Iverson of South Dakota—are graduates of Ashland University’s Master of American History and Government (MAHG) program.
